If Sammy Wilson really believes what he says about Owen Paterson and corporation tax, he's living in cloud cuckoo land (News, July 28).
If it weren't for the Secretary of State, the issue of cutting the tax would not even be on the table.
Owen Paterson has worked with fellow Conservatives in Northern Ireland and in London, with the business community and with colleagues in government, to make devolving these powers a realistic possibility.
In contrast, the finance minister has deliberately distorted the argument by claiming it would cost the Northern Irish economy money when it would not cost it one penny.
Like Labour's Boyd Black (Write Back, July 31), Mr Wilson has never understood the economics of cutting corporation tax. It is the Secretary of State who understands the needs of business and the economics of creating jobs.
