Wimbledon ladies can go the distance

So, we are now halfway through the Wimbledon Fortnight and it is interesting to note that the prizemoney for both the men's and ladies' singles has been equalised in every round. Something which I am in agreement with and something which the WTA has been fighting for for years.

However, it is also interesting to note that I never hear anybody in the WTA argue that all the matches in the ladies' singles should be of equal length to the men's matches.

Women can climb Mount Everest, go into space, walk to the Poles, sail around the world single-handedly and run marathons yet for some reason the tennis authorities think that women are incapable of playing five sets of tennis. Why is this?
