Wogan's passing a terrible loss for UK and Ireland

Published 03/02/2016

Britain (and Ireland) has lost a wonderful character with the passing of Terry Wogan.

I will always remember his witty but apt comments while he was compering the Eurovision Song Contest and his 1978 appearance on Top of the Pops with his version of The Floral Dance.

Ireland can be proud of his memory - and we in the UK were lucky he made his home here.
