Working classes are marginalised

The DUP and UUP have for years totally disregarded the unionist/loyalist population in the areas they represent.

They have marginalised the working classes of these areas and have, until recently, expected the people in those areas to give them their vote just because they are Protestant/unionist parties.

The late David Ervine once said to the Rev Ian Paisley that the days when he "guldered" at loyalists and they responded to the call were gone.

Billy Hutchinson is no David Ervine, but he needs to try and rekindle the dream that Ervine aspired to: a shared and prosperous future for everyone.
