You can't fulfil conditions of 'equal' marriage

THE Union of Students Ireland is to lobby MLAs to back marriage equality (Write Back, April 8). Presumably, in this instance the "equality" proposal includes two men promising to live together as husband and husband and women as wife and wife.

The Christian is opposed to anything that is not life-giving. But why would anyone vote to legislate for alternative "marriage" contracts, with conditions that cannot be fulfilled and are also devoid of any life-giving potential?
