Your misleading headline fuels anti-Catholicism
I WOULD like to register my disgust regarding the article in the Belfast Telegraph with the headline: 'Pope's child porn "normal" claim sparks outrage among victims' (News, December 22).
Having read the Pope's speech, I feel this headline is very misleading, implying that the Pope considers child pornography 'normal', when clearly that was not said.
As a practising Catholic, I also find it insulting to my faith. It does no justice to victims of these crimes. I feel such a comment is fuelled by anti-Catholic prejudice, rather than impartiality.
Since this headline has gone to press I feel it has inflamed anti-Catholic sentiment.
How can justice be served when such publications can twist facts?
