Farage is Belfast girl's political idol

It was a dream come true for one lucky Belfast schoolgirl last week when she got to meet her political idol.

Emma McCormick, a 16-year-old pupil at Bloomfield Collegiate School, wrote to Ukip ahead of a trip to London and expressed her desire to meet Nigel Farage, the party's colourful leader. On Friday her wish was granted.

What did Emma make of Nigel? "He is a big personality and a typical British man," was her verdict.
