Hague's defence ruffles feathers
Former Tory leaders Iain Duncan Smith and Michael Howard might not have appreciated William Hague's chosen defence of David Cameron yesterday.
The Foreign Secretary said Mr Cameron was "the sanest person to lead the Conservative Party in a long time - me included". This singles out the reigns of Messrs Duncan Smith and Howard.
Whether the "long time" stretches back to Thatcher's leadership wasn't clear.
