Minister of State Mike Penning was part of a Commons and Lords rugby team that took on the Dail in Dublin on the morning of the Ireland v England Six Nations clash earlier this month.
"Mike played the entire game and made a sterling contribution," says Mark Pawsey, chairman of the Commons and Lords RFC, who is also MP for the town of Rugby.
In spite of Mr Penning's best efforts, the Irish won 20-5.
