Night Thatcher hit wrong note

The SDLP's recent black tie fundraiser in London was by all accounts a big success. More than 200 turned out at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in swanky Knightsbridge and dined on salmon and roast beef.

Former EU Commissioner Peter Sutherland was one of the guests of honour. He recalled the time when Margaret Thatcher, attending a Euro summit, heard the Ode To Joy and turned to him and asked if it was the Belgian national anthem.
