Belfast born Conor Burns made waves when he quit his job as aide to the then Northern Ireland Secretary, Owen Paterson, over House of Lords reform.
His old boss might not have appreciated a tweet last week from Mr Burns, about a lunch he hosted on the digital switchover.
"The excellent Shadow Secretary of State has joined us," he wrote.
