Belfast Giants blow away Dundee Stars with strong finish in Elite League contest

Belfast Giants fought back from behind to overcome mid-table rivals Dundee Stars 6-2 at the SSE Arena on Tuesday night.

The Stars twice led through goals from Scott Brannon, who opened the scoring after just 35 seconds and then restored his side's lead in the second period after Belfast had levelled through Mike Radja's 24th goal of the season.

However, Dundee could not hold onto their advantage as Belfast struck five times without reply, levelling again through Mike Forney's short-handed goal before further strikes from Brandon Benedict, Jonathan Boxill, Chris Higgins and Kris Beech - the latter three goals coming in the third period - sealed the victory.
