Lawrence Okolie's split-points win over Cam Awesome gave British Lionhearts a 3-2 success over USA Knockouts in their opening round of the World Series of Boxing in Miami.

Heavyweight Okolie was awarded a 48-47 win by judges Albino Foti and Clemente Carrillo in the five-round contest, with Vladislav Malyshev awarding it to Awesome by the same score.

Okolie's win handed the Lionhearts victory after it was finely poised at 2-2 after the first four bouts.

Harvey Horn beat Nico Hernandez 3-0 on points in the opening light flyweight fight to send the Lionhearts 1-0 up, before Shakur Stevenson won by the same score for America in the Bantamweight.

Pat McCormack restored Britain's lead by beating Gary Russell in the light welterweight before the hosts again drew level as Charles Conwell was too good for Troy Williamson in the middleweight contest.
