Fired-up Carl Frampton going live in big showdown with Leo Santa Cruz

By Staff Reporter

Carl Frampton's eagerly awaited fight with Leo Santa Cruz will be shown live in the UK and Ireland exclusively on Box Nation next Saturday.

The Ulsterman will battle it out for Santa Cruz's world featherweight title at the Barclays Center in New York.

Both Frampton and Santa Cruz boast unbeaten records.

Frampton vacated his super-bantamweight world titles to step up a division to fight the Mexican, who has 18 knockouts to his credit.

The clash is expected to be a close contest, but Frampton is confident ahead of what will be the toughest fight of his career to date.

"I am in terrific shape, I feel fantastic in the gym and I am ready for the biggest fight of my career," the 29-year old said.

"On July 30, I will become a two-weight world champion.

"I respect Leo, he is a great fighter and person, but I am prepared to overcome any challenge he brings."

Frampton jetted to New York earlier this month to step up his preparations for the showdown.
