It's my time to take over the world: Burnett

Belfast man Ryan Burnett believes swashbuckling youth will have the edge over crafty 33-year-old IBF World bantamweight champion Lee Haskins when they clash on June 10 at Belfast's SSE Arena.

"This is my time, this is where I take over. Father time catches up with everyone so it's time for me to take over and for him to step aside," said Burnett.

Unbeaten in 16 fights, the 24-year-old will be taking a significant step up in class having already won the British title.

"I know that I'm still learning my craft but I know how hard I work in the gym and I truly believe I will be World champion on June 10," added the challenger.

Champion Haskins said he was "really looking forward to the challenge" of facing Burnett.
