Watch: Carl Frampton v Kiko Martinez 'Night of the Jackal' documentary shows new footage of Belfast fighter's Titanic clash
On Saturday September 6, 2014 Carl Frampton, from Tigers Bay, Belfast, challenged Kiko Martinez for the IBF World title at the iconic Titanic Quarter in front of 16,000 people.
This documentary, courtesy of Sports View London, takes you deep inside Frampton's camp and captures the build up, the fight and the aftermath.
With rare never before seen footage and interviews this is a must see for sports fans.
Unbeaten in 19 fights, the man known as 'the Jackal' enjoyed his greatest moment in September last year when he became the champion of the world.
On an incredible night in Belfast, Frampton packed out a purpose-built arena at the Titanic Slipways to claim the IBF World super-bantamweight belt after an epic battle with Spaniard Kiko Martinez.
A huge crowd of 16,000 turned up to roar Frampton on as he won a unanimous points decision in sensational style. In time it will go down as one of those 'I was there' sporting occasions.
The fight came after Frampton had defeated European champion Martinez in February 2013, winning by technical knockout in round nine to lift the European Super Bantamweight title and retain the IBF Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight title.
He then went on to defend his titles in an IBF World Title Eliminator against Jeremy Parodi, who he knocked out in the sixth round. In April of this year, Frampton continued his unbeaten run when he despatched Hugo Cazares in the second round.
The contest with Martinez in September went all the way, but there was never any doubt who would come out on top as Carl produced a composed, convincing performance.
Already a hero in these parts, you get the feeling the best is around the corner with many world title defences to come.
