Cambridge University has rowed back from a recent slump to win its annual boat race against Oxford on the Thames.

Cambridge last won the boat race in 2012, and returned to winning form on Sunday to win the 162nd edition of the race.

Cambridge took an early lead during the race and maintained their form to snatch victory despite tricky conditions on the Thames.

Earlier, Oxford made it four wins in a row in the Women's Boat Race after the Cambridge boat almost sank in the latter stages.
