Monday, 18 August 2008
Over the past number of years, many players and commentators have complained bitterly about the state of the Croke Park pitch.
Adrian Logan: Write Tyrone off at your peril
Monday, 11 August 2008
We have only one Ulster side left in this year’s All-Ireland Championship and if you listen to the pundits, Tyrone might as well not turn up against Dublin in Croke Park next Saturday.
Adrian Logan: End of an era for Armagh
Monday, 11 August 2008
After all the talk and the hype, in the end it was old legs that cost Armagh a place in the All-Ireland semi-finals.
Now it is down to Armagh and Tyrone
Monday, 4 August 2008
So much for the power of Ulster. When the dust had settled on the weekend qualifiers it showed that the province, bar the big two of Armagh and Tyrone, are still some way behind the rest.
Adrian Logan: Fermanagh feel the heat
Monday, 28 July 2008
The Ulster leg of the Fermanagh fairytale is over and if manager Malachy O’Rourke doesn't get his troops back in the zone Kildare could turn it into a nightmare season next week.
Adrian Logan: Galvin can still be the GAA's hero
Monday, 28 July 2008
When it comes to discipline the GAA is in a proper mess.
Adrian Logan: Ulster final was the best show in town
Monday, 21 July 2008
A cracking Ulster final at Clones and the Fermanagh fairytale lives on for at least another week. The final score was Armagh2-8 Fermanagh 1-11 but the score line does little justice to what was a superb game of football between two brilliant sides.
Adrian Logan: Grounds for some concern over GAA venues
Monday, 21 July 2008
The qualifiers have been one of the success stories in recent GAA history but the venues are something they will now have to take a serious look at.
Adrian Logan: Ulster final a step too far for Fermanagh
Monday, 14 July 2008
Despite all the talk and the hype I fear it won't be a Fermanagh fairytale in
next week's Ulster final.

Adrian Logan: No Clones bonus for Monaghan
Monday, 14 July 2008
I think the big losers in the qualifiers next week will be Monaghan.
Adrian Logan: Put Antrim in the Leinster championship
Monday, 7 July 2008
I don't know what the answer is for Antrim and Ulster hurling, but the current qualifying system isn't working and is doing nothing for the long term future of the game up here in the north.
Adrian Logan: Dublin are favourites for ‘Sam’
Monday, 7 July 2008
Even with Kerry 's defeat yesterday, we are none the wiser as to who is going to take the Sam Maguire this season.
Adrian Logan: Fermanagh the headline act in Ulster
Monday, 23 June 2008
Ring out the old. The Ulster Championship is clearly the only show in town and right now top billing goes to Fermanagh.
Adrian Logan: The future is orange ... just don’t bet on it
Monday, 23 June 2008
Just like Fermanagh and Derry, next week is another case of the old and the new.
Adrian Logan: Not even Paddy can do it all on his own
Monday, 2 June 2008
Derry made it through with two points to spare at Ballybofey yesterday but there will have to be major improvement if they are to make a real impression this season.
Adrian Logan: Why start championship with damp squib?
Monday, 19 May 2008
The GAA are a very hard working and professional organisation but you have to wonder if they have given all the lads and lassies in the marketing department extra time off work.
Adrian Logan: Antrim football at the crossroads
Monday, 19 May 2008
So, Antrim lost again. What's new? When Antrim brought in Jody Gormley as manager, I really felt they were going in the right direction.
Adrian Logan: Derry have class to land Ulster crown
Monday, 12 May 2008
The Ulster championship will swing into action this week with Casement Park taking centre stage in the race for the Anglo Celt cup. For the first time in a long time it's a very open race with several counties all showing that they have the CV to go on and take the Provincial crown.
Derry ease eight years of suffering
Monday, 28 April 2008
It was a good day at the office yesterday for Derry. Well actually that's not right. It was a great day for Derry. At Parnell Park they humbled the mighty Kerry to take the National League title and they took it in some style.

It would have been a brave person indeed who would have wagered on Cork surviving to fight another day when Kerry built up an eight-point lead at one stage of the second-half last Sunday at Croke Park.
• James Lawton: Wenger puts his finger on the 'wretched truth' behind Olympic success
Arsenal's French manager Arsene Wenger is not xenophobic -- he has proved that in his long years irrigating English football with the finest skill -- but he was maybe the most damning witness of all amid the fanfare which greeted Great Britain's medal haul in Beijing.
