Have you ever wanted to quit your job and live the life of a football

not having to pay for it? Better still, someone is paying YOU to be there!

Inside Alan Green
Alan Green: Banish John Terry and take Hart
Wednesday, 8 February 2012
The question shouldn’t have been whether or not John Terry stayed as England captain while charges are made about racist abuse: we should have asked why a player who’s dogged by scandal was ever made captain of his country in the first place and why, having once been rightly discarded by Fabio Capello, he was ever brought back.
Alan Green: Nothing golden about handshakes
Wednesday, 8 February 2012
Should you shake hands or refuse to?

Alan Green: Give Beckham GB armband at Olympics, for all it’s worth
Wednesday, 25 January 2012
I laughed when I heard that David Beckham wants to captain the Great Britain
Olympic team this summer. I thought he wasn’t even certain of a place in the
squad yet.

Alan Green: Kenny Dalglish not helping Adny Carroll
Wednesday, 18 January 2012
Kenny Dalglish can be sensitive to any question thrown up by the media but he
is especially so — unreasonably so in my opinion — when the subject is Andy
Carroll.

Alan Green: Doubts still exist, but Harry CAN lead Spurs to title
Wednesday, 18 January 2012
Wolves’ point at White Hart Lane on Saturday absolves me of any urgent need to
eat a portion of humble pie. You see I STILL have doubts about the validity
of Tottenham’s title challenge.

Alan Green: Tackle big calls by making ref explain
Wednesday, 18 January 2012
Since I didn’t think Vincent Kompany’s challenge on Nani merited a red card,
clearly I wouldn’t have supported Glen Johnson being sent off for his tackle
on Joleon Lescott.

Alan Green: Cup romance too costly these days
Wednesday, 11 January 2012
Despite being willed on, in particular by 5 Live, the 3rd round of the FA Cup
was — Swindon’s victory over Wigan reserves aside — largely devoid of
romance, drama and upsets.

Alan Green: O’Neill’s rise had hand in Warnock’s fall
Wednesday, 11 January 2012
Martin O’Neill may not know it and he certainly shouldn’t feel any guilt about
it, but I think he had a pivotal role in Queens Park Rangers’ decision to
sack Neil Warnock.

Alan Green: Foy’s follies exposed a lack of common sense refereeing
Wednesday, 11 January 2012
As far as I’m concerned ‘consistency’ and ‘common sense’ are not mutually
exclusive in terms of referees.

Alan Green: Proof that Premier League can’t be predicted
Wednesday, 4 January 2012
So…Manchester United lose 6-1 at home to Manchester City having beaten
Arsenal 8-2 at the same venue…Arsenal, then went on to win 5-3 at
Chelsea. But none of those daft scorelines matched the one at Old Trafford
on New Year’s Eve. Isn’t the Premier League absolutely, crazily,
unpredictable?

Alan Green: I don’t swallow Sir Alex Ferguson’s three-year retirement plan
Wednesday, 4 January 2012
You may be amongst those that think I speak and write absolute drivel. I’ve
long accepted that there are a few of you out there…or maybe more than
a few!

This happened over 40 years ago: I was barely a teenager.

Alan Green: Liverpool won't win Luis Suarez race row
Wednesday, 28 December 2011
Clearly, Liverpool feel an acute sense of injustice with regard to what's happened to Luis Suarez and that their star player is being subjected to a witch-hunt.
Alan Green: Top of the tree at Christmas, Manchester City have heart to stay there
Tuesday, 20 December 2011
Any who continue to harbour doubts about the sustainability of Manchester
City’s title challenge should push them aside after the team’s performances
over the last week, both of which I commentated on.

Alan Green: Valencia could be frozen out at Stoke
Tuesday, 20 December 2011
None of the five remaining English clubs in European competition can feel
entirely confident of progress after the draws made in Nyon on Friday.

Liverpool played Manchester United on October 15 during which the alleged
racist abuse of Patrice Evra by Luis Suarez took place.

Alan Green: Spurs winning title would be greatest achievement of all
Tuesday, 13 December 2011
Returning to England after a few weeks absence — largely football-free — I sat
down to watch the television coverage of Basel against Manchester United.

Alan Green: Europa League, you’re havin’ a laugh
Tuesday, 13 December 2011
Aside from intense disappointment that English representation in the Champions
League is now halved — how on earth were Manchester United unable to
negotiate a group as easy as that one? — the lingering memory of last week
was the welcoming applause of Channel 5 and ITV4. ITV4, I ask you!

Alan Green: FA had a cheek appealing Rooney ban
Tuesday, 13 December 2011
It is, of course, excellent news for England that UEFA reduced Wayne Rooney’s
suspension following his red card against Montenegro even though it would
have been ridiculous had Fabio Capello otherwise seriously considered
leaving the player out of the squad for Ukraine.

Alan Green: Get real, Fabio! England are outsiders for European glory
Tuesday, 15 November 2011
Unless they are playing against Northern Ireland, I ALWAYS want England to win
but there is the odd occasion when I dread the consequences of a victory:
such as Saturday night’s, in my view, undeserved scoreline against the World
and European Champions Spain.
