David Healy: Corry was a shining light for us

When you reflect on our performance in Albania, there were precious few positive elements to come out of it.

But one was definitely Corry Evans.

I played in Italy last summer when Corry made his Northern Ireland debut. He impressed me then and it was the same on Wednesday.

On a cabbage patch of a pitch, he was constantly demanding the ball and wanting to get involved. His attitude was spot on and he can be pleased with his contribution, especially when you consider he played for our under-21 side in San Marino the previous night before flying to Tirana.

Another plus point was Rory Patterson making his debut. It was a proud night for Rory and his club Coleraine. He was actually a little unlucky not to score.
