David Healy: Grand Slam was edge of the seat stuff

It was edge of the seat stuff in the Millennium Stadium last Saturday.

I was watching Ireland’s game with Wales with a few of the Irish lads at Sunderland and we couldn't believe the thrilling finish.

No wonder the celebrations are still going on after Ireland completed the Grand Slam.

We’ve been waiting for this for 61 games so everyone might as well enjoy it.

I’m sure the Ulster boys in the squad did.

Fair play to Rory Best, Stephen Ferris, Paddy Wallace and Tom Court for the part they played in the success.

The next time Ulster play at Ravenhill they deserve to take a lap of honour around the ground.

I’m sure a few of the other Irish players will get that treatment tomorrow at Croke Park when the Republic of Ireland face Bulgaria in the World Cup.

Look out for a home win there.

Holland against Scotland is another interesting World Cup game.

I’ve written off the Scots before but when they are up against it, they do find something and it wouldn’t surprise me if they held the Dutch to draw.

As for England v Slovakia in a friendly, does anyone really care?
