David Healy: McCartney a great signing for Sunderland

It's great for Sunderland to have signed George McCartney from West Ham because he is a high quality player.
He is a fantastic addition to our squad.
On a personal note, I’m delighted to see him move back to the north east where he started his career.
At Fulham, I had three Northern Ireland mates in Aaron Hughes, Steve Davis and Chris Baird.
Football being football you move on, but with George at the Stadium of Light it will be good to have some Northern Ireland company again.
