Ace Hutchy rides into town for motorbike extravaganza

By Paul Lindsay

Tyco BMW ace Ian Hutchinson, 14 times an Isle of Man TT winner and runner-up in the British Superstock Championship, is the first big name to be confirmed for the Blackhorse Northern Ireland Motorcycle Festival in February.

Promoters Billy and Marty Nutt's annual biking extravaganza moved to the pound Eikon Exhibition Centre in Lisburn last year and proved a massive success with bike fans.

The introduction of free parking at the extensive site was warmly welcomed by the thousands of punters who attend the show every year and will again be on offer next year.

The 2017 Festival will be held over three days - from Friday, February 3 to Sunday, February 5.

Bingley Bullet Hutchinson has been a regular at the event in the past and the 37-year-old will once again support it this time around, when he will mingle with the fans.

"We're delighted to welcome Hutchy back in 2017 as he had such an incredible season," said well known and respected promoter Billy Nutt, who is a former Clerk of Course at the North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix.

"Not only did he win at all the big international road races but he also had a brilliant year in the British Superstock Championship and to finish as the runner-up shows how versatile he is as a rider."

All of the leading motorcycle manufacturers will be represented at the Festival.
