Stephen Craigan: Celtic face fresh worry

I THINK a concern for Celtic would be the attendance on Saturday for their home SPL game against Dundee.

Only 41,000 turned up and I say only because over the years Celtic fans have been as loyal as they come.

At a time when all Scottish clubs need their supporters more than ever, I’m sure privately Neil Lennon and his players would have hoped for more backing.

There has been a worrying decline over the last few years at all grounds in Scotland, but with the problems Rangers faced over the summer, many fans applauded their club’s decision to put Rangers in the bottom league and promised to turn out in big numbers to help offset their financial loss.

Current attendances are indicating that supporters will have to deliver on their summer of promises or some clubs will be facing financial trouble.
