Stephen Craigan: Inverness Caledonian Thistle proving money isn’t everything

The rise of Inverness Caledonian Thistle this season has surprised everyone in the SPL thus far but they are well worth their lofty second position.

They’ve picked up a remarkable 23 points from a possible 30 with credible wins at Celtic and Aberdeen in the process.

Manager Terry Butcher has moulded and shaped a team that mirrors how he was as a player, determined and brave with a bit of quality.

A lot of the Inverness players aren’t household names which makes their success even more impressive and at this rate they could qualify for European football for the first time in their history.

The players are putting other highly paid individuals in the league to shame with their honesty, work ethic and consistent performances.

It shows you money isn’t everything and it’s not about how much you get paid but how much you want to win.

Terry has certainly instilled a desire that is envied by many.
