Stephen Craigan: Lennon won’t be resting on his laurels

It was a case of same old Celtic at the weekend as they strolled past Hearts at Parkhead.

People who feared the winter break may have hampered Celtic's momentum towards successive SPL titles would have thought otherwise after their performance.

With a League Cup semi-final against St Mirren this Sunday, Neil Lennon will be delighted with the form of his squad ahead of an important period.

With Lennon adding two players so far in the transfer window, (with the acquisition of Gershon and Rogic) it shows he isn't resting on his laurels but wants to push on and get even more out of his players.

Adding players while you're successful and at the top is vital because if you stand still others can pass you by. Neil will hope his team can keep up their level of performance and if they do it's ominous for the rest of the SPL.
