Stephen Craigan: Move proves right one for McGinn

Northern Ireland's goalscoring hero from Portugal last week Niall McGinn (pictured) continued his fine run of form for club and country on Saturday as he scored for the FIFTH consecutive game.

He earned his club Aberdeen a crucial point away from home at Dundee United and it’s just reward for Niall after he decided to leave Celtic over the summer in the search of regular first team football.

It’s easy for players to sit and enjoy the wages and lifestyle on offer at a big club but if they have any ambition and want to progress then they need to play games.

Niall's decision was vindicated when he got his first international goal last week because he knows full well if he had still been at Celtic it would have been unlikely he would have had his moment of glory.

So for young players dreaming about the riches of being at a big club, remember material possessions can’t replace dreams becoming reality, just ask Niall McGinn!
