Stephen Craigan: Post-Barcelona slip-up will help Celtic

Celtic's home draw on Sunday against St Johnstone wasn’t a shock to me.

After the highs of last Wednesday night’s Champions League win against Barcelona it was always going to be difficult for the players and fans to re-create that atmosphere and intensity in their play so soon after such a marvellous victory.

The world’s best players and teams can do it because they are used to playing in big games regularly, but at the minute for Celtic it’s a learning curve.

Only drawing with Stephen Lomas’ under-rated outfit will have brought them back to reality, which Neil Lennon |(pictured) and his players will be naturally disappointed with, but in the long run it will improve them.

It will make them refocus quickly after big games and show them that consistency is the key to being a top player in every game.
