Encouraging news recently came from Hearts and the fact their fans have managed to raise half the amount needed to keep the club in business with the rest likely to follow.
I say encouraging because Hearts are one of Scotland’s bigger clubs and the SPL could ill afford to lose a club of Hearts stature on the back of losing Rangers going over the summer.
Vladimir Romanov (pictured) to his credit has invested heavily in the Edinburgh club during his seven year reign which has resulted in two Scottish Cup wins but he’s had enough by the looks of it.
With continual problems in paying the salaries on time and the non-payment of PAYE to HMRC it's time this great club was in new hands to give it fresh impetus. I fear Romanov won’t go quietly but for the benefit of everyone at Hearts and for the long term future of the club it needs to happen.
