Staying in Crues control

Published 07/11/2013

At the start of the Irish League season I was sure the title battle would come down to Linfield and Cliftonville.

Well, I was half right.

Linfield will be up there, but their biggest challengers will be Crusaders, and not north Belfast's other side who have been weighed down by the champions tag.

Glenavon, Portadown and Glentoran have enjoyed some excellent results to date, though they have as much chance of claiming the title as I have of winning Strictly Come Dancing!

The fear is that David Jeffrey's side are in such confident mood they'll waltz away with the crown. Four points behind the Blues, the Crues must keep hanging in to make things interesting.
