I don't know if you have noticed but Linfield are FOUR points clear at the top of the Carling Premiership and have a game in hand.

It wasn’t that long ago that the Blues were lagging behind the likes of Dungannon Swifts and Crusaders.

Also when Keith Gillespie arrived at Glentoran, there were concerns about how the Blues would compete with their Big Two rivals.

But while the Glens have got themselves into a mess with unnecessary abusive criticism of manager Alan McDonald, Linfield have quietly got on with things and have put together a fabulous run of form.

You have to hand it to the Blues, who remember this season are without the legendary Glenn Ferguson. Another title for Linfield and David Jeffrey is on the way. They won’t lose it now.
