Maik Taylor will win his 82nd cap on Saturday for Northern Ireland.
It’s some going for the Birmingham City man who didn’t make his international debut until 1999 and had to play second fiddle to Roy Carroll on occasions.
The problem is that Maik is now 38. I know he keeps himself fit but even he knows time is running out.
When he eventually retires we are going to miss him and then some. He has been superb in the last decade playing a huge role in our famous wins.
Only Pat Jennings and Harry Gregg rank above him for me in terms of great Northern Ireland goalkeepers.
