Chance to scoop a huge prize

By Robert Fenton

The Tote Scoop6 has bounced back in terms of popularity after a spell in the doldrums.

Since the Tote was taken over by Betfred two years ago, owner Fred Done – known as the 'bonus king' – has encouraged punters by occasionally adding £100,000 to the Scoop6 pool as he did a fortnight ago when a Liverpool granny had her £54,784 boosted to £154,784 before a crack at a £702,000 bonus which involved finding the winner of last week's Grand National Trial at Haydock.

She didn't manage it which means the bonus pool today will be worth over £800,000.

The Scoop6 costs £2 per line and involves picking the winners of six selected races which are named each Friday. Entries can be made online.

There is also a Scoop6 consolation dividend for placed horses which can be in the region of £1000.

The place dividend is likely to be higher if a few favourites are out of the frame.

Unlike the Lottery, Scoop6 normally involves a bit of skill and knowledge of form – but it too offers life-changing prize pots.
