The Punter: All to play for in Premier League title fight

What a result by Sunderland last Sunday.

That unbelievable 3-0 win over Chelsea has blown the race for the Premier League wide open.

The Black Cats were as big as 16-1 and no doubt saw many short-priced ‘accas’ dumped in the bin.

But believe it or not, that scoreline was matched on Betfair at 999-1!

Amazingly, some firms are keeping the London Blues as short at 4-6 for the title, clearly believing the setback to be a mere blip and not to be repeated once key players return to the fray, although it will be much longer for John Terry. It has created an opportunity to avail of the 7-2 and 4-1 about Man United and Arsenal respectively.

The Gunners had a good away win at Everton, taking them to within two points of Chelsea, and certainly giving them every hope of winning the title for the first time in seven years.

All in all, it still looks a three-way battle, which makes backing both United and Arsenal financial sense.
