The Punter: Big Buck’s all the way

One Armagh punter can look forward to care-free Cheltenham following two sensational bets landed courtesy of Toals Bookmakers.

The astute gambler picked up a total of £77,387.30p for an outlay of £100. He selected four horses and did them in a £20 each way accumulator which realised £54,582.50 and named the same four in a £4 Lucky 15 which cashed in to the tune of £22,804.80.

“It was some bet,” said Gary Toal, “and all credit to him.”

“I just hope he is not in the same form during Cheltenham, at least with me anyway.”

If he does want to risk the whole amount — I’m sure he won’t — then he should have it on Big Buck’s in the World Hurdle on Thursday. He won the Long Walk at Ascot in impressive fashion and the bookies will be laying ‘without’ as he is simply unbeatable over three miles as is reflected in his Cheltenham price of 1-2. Past the post as they say!
