After the latest round in the Champions League, it’s no surprise to see layers believing that it will be a repeat of last season - an all-British final.
Certainly the English clubs look like dominating the group stages and 4-1 for an all-English final, is not an unreasonable bet.
Chelsea, Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool should not have too much difficulty in qualifying for the last 16.
In fact, 11-8 that all four top their groups should be taken.
The Red Devils have only Villarreal to worry about but should be more than capable of overcoming that challenge by not losing to them or Celtic away from home.
Chelsea won’t be caught at the top of Group A while Liverpool will finish off Athletico Madrid at Anfield next week.
Arsenal are top-guns in Group G and have Fenerbahce at home on November 5. Victory there and a home win over Dynamo Kiev on November 25, will clinch matters.
So when you look at it, the advantage is very much with the punter and that 11-8 courtesy of Coral’s, should be taken, especially as topping the group will make for an easier last-16 tie.
Hill’s go 11-4 for an all-British decider but that is bettered at 4-1 by Coral and for those who want to play it a bit safer, can take up the 10-11 for a British victory in Rome.
An interesting wager is available from Betfred, namely 7-1 that United will go through Group
E without conceding a goal.
On current form, that’s more than likely as they have only those two away games at Villarreal and Celtic where they are more than capable of coming away with scoreless draws at least.
With the United defence looking solid, it is Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney who are reaping the rewards up front.
After Berbatov’s couple and Rooney’s one against the Bhoys at Old Trafford, the pair are 10-1 to repeat the feat between them in the Parkhead return.
Betfred: Not to concede a goal during the group stage: 6-1 Chelsea; 7-1 Man Utd; 40-1 both Chelsea and United.
Coral: Champions League specials: 11-8 all four English teams to win their groups; 4-1 All-English final; 20-1 Chelsea v Man Utd final.
Hill’s specials: 10-11 British winner; 11-4 all-British final. English team to go furthest: 6-4 Chelsea; 15-8 Man United; 7-2 Arsenal; 11-2 Liverpool.
