England wrapped up the T20 series against Pakistan with a dramatic three-run victory in Dubai.

Captain Shahid Afridi's late charge - 24 off just eight deliveries - almost pushed Pakistan over the line after England racked up 172-8.

James Vince top scored for England with 38, with stand-in captain Jos Buttler (33) and opener Jason Roy (29) also chipping in with some valuable runs.

Afridi was also the pick of the Pakistan bowlers, taking 3-15.

The win is England's fifth consecutive T20 victory as they go into the World T20 in India in March.

The tourists looked to be heading for a comfortable victory when Afridi strode to the crease with his side needing 53 off 20 deliveries.

But some heavy hitting from the 35-year-old delighted the big crowd in Dubai and brought the game back into the balance.

He was eventually dismissed by a sharp catch from an off-balance Liam Plunkett off the bowling of Chris Woakes.
