India leave Aussies without a win

Published 31/03/2014

Australia found out they were eliminated from the tournament just before the match, when Pakistan beat Bangladesh, but a terrible batting performance denied them any consolation.

George Bailey's winless side were bowled out for 86 – with Ravichandran Ashwin taking four for 11 – after India had been restricted to a reachable 159 for seven. Yuvraj Singh's 60 was the best of the Indian batting performance.

Ireland meet Pakistan today in their final game of the women's competition still looking for their first win after they were bowled out for 79 by South Africa in Sylhet on Saturday.

The Proteas hit 63 off the last three overs to demoralise the Ireland batting which subsequently folded in 15.1 overs.
