Ireland pair Ed Joyce and William Porterfield pile on runs in Namibia

Ed Joyce and William Porterfield put together the second biggest partnership in Ireland history as the tourists dominated the second day of their Intercontinental Cup clash with Namibia in Windhoek.

The pair shared a second-wicket stand of 326 in 404 balls, with Joyce recording back-to-back double hundreds in the competition.

Joyce finally fell for 205 but Porterfield ended the day unbeaten on 153 after setting another Ireland record when he reached his 13th century.

Having earlier bowled out Namibia for 251, Ireland reached the close on 402 for three - a first-innings lead of 151.
