Tim Murtagh will miss Ireland's ODI against England due to a hamstring injury

Tim Murtagh has been withdrawn from the Ireland squad to play England in Friday's one-day international at Malahide, Cricket Ireland has announced.

The 33-year-old sustained a hamstring tear in his left leg while playing for Middlesex in their ongoing LV= County Championship match against Durham at Lord's, and will undergo an MRI scan on Tuesday to assess the extent of the injury.

Cricket Ireland has opted not to replace Murtagh, as it named 14 players in its original squad for the game.
