Surprise win sees Muckamore in final

Muckamore will play CIYMS in the final of the Metal Technology Twenty20 Cup on Sunday week after their shock victory over Instonians in last night’s semi-final at Shaw’s Bridge.

In the North West, St Johnston had a surprise league win over Strabane.

Metal Technology Twenty20 Cup semi-final At Shaw’s Bridge: Muckamore 148-9 (J van der Merwe 63, B Baguley 33; S Price 2-22) Instonians 124 (19.2 overs, D Moffett 59; J van der Merwe 3-23, I Kamtekar 2-17, N Gill 2-19). Muckamore won by 24 runs.

Henderson Properties Senior League One: St Johnston 152-9 (40 overs, D Macbeth 47 T Barr 3-25, R Gallagher 2-32, M Gillespie 2-33) Strabane 130 (34.5 overs, C Patton 34, P Gillespie 27, K Martin 27; B Rao 3-19, J Robinson 3-34, A Fleming 2-22). St Johnston won by 22 runs.

At Ballymagorry, Fox Lodge 202-5 (20 overs, A Britton 66, A McGinnis 63, Des Curry 2-25, N Thompson 2-44) Limavady 113 (14.3 overs, Des Curry 21; G Heywood 3-40, A McGinnis 2-12, J Robinson 2-18, M Mooney 2-23). Fox Lodge won by 89 runs.

Tonight: Brigade v Donemana (6.30pm).
