Another outstanding turnout, topped by a two-in-a-row local success has ensured a return of the hugely popular Red Bull Fox Hunt mountain bike event to the Mournes next year.

Red Bull have renewed their commitment after Lisburn's Colin Ross rode to his second successive King of the Mountain title in the 2015 Fox Hunt at Rostrevor.

A pack of 400 'hounds' tore down Slieve Martin in the Mournes in a bid to outfox two-time Downhill World Champion Gee Atherton as he set the pace ahead of them.

Colin (32) was first past the post after a three-and-a-half-mile hair-raising sprint down windswept moorland and treacherous forest trail. Riders from Russia, Poland, France, Denmark and Spain joined a record pack of British and Irish male and female riders. Second place went to James MacFerran from Newcastle and Dave Egan from Dublin scooped third.
