Alex McLeish challenges Birmingham City to make history

Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has challenged his side to make history, with a positive result against Wigan in today's clash at St Andrew's a step towards that goal.

The Blues will equal the club's top-flight record of 18 games unbeaten at home if they draw or defeat the Latics.

“The players have got to do everything in their power to preserve it,” he said. “Some day we will lose but won't go down without fighting.”
