Belfast Giants keep pressure on Elite League leaders

Belfast Giants closed the gap on the Elite League leaders with a 4-1 win against Fife Flyers on Tuesday night.

The Giants scored at least once in each period to record a third successive victory that leaves them three points behind Cardiff and Sheffield.

Michael Forney put the visitors ahead at Fife Ice Arena with a powerplay goal late in the first period and Kris Beech doubled the lead early in the second.

Michael Dorr responded with a powerplay goal 1:21 into the third, but Belfast restored their two-goal lead through Beech's second of the game before Mike Radja added a fourth.
