Michael McGovern has the number one jersey at the moment for Northern Ireland. The Enniskillen man also has the respect of fellow goalkeepers Roy Carroll and Alan Mannus for his displays in the second half of the successful Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

But that won't stop them doing all they can in the coming months to try and persuade boss Michael O'Neill that they should be between the sticks in France.

Carroll kept a clean sheet for Notts County in a 2-0 win over Yeovil in League Two on Saturday and aims to do the same tonight at Bristol Rovers while Mannus has long since been a hugely influential figure for Tommy Wright's St Johnstone, where he plans to maintain his impressive consistency.

Ex-Linfield star Mannus said: "It's an unbelievable achievement for us to make it to the finals and I just want to be involved now."
