Irish FA president Jim Shaw has acknowledged that Northern Ireland's brilliant 2-0 win over Ukraine in the Euro 2016 finals will enhance the reputation of manager Michael O'Neill and could lead to clubs making a move for him.

O'Neill's tactics and selections - he made five changes from side that lost to Poland in the opening Group C game -worked a treat on Thursday to give Northern Ireland victory and a chance of qualifying for the last 16.

O'Neill has a four-year IFA contract and is in no rush to leave but there is a get-out clause should interested clubs come calling after the tournament.

"Michael is doing a fantastic job and taking us to new levels. The big decisions he took for the Ukraine game worked spectacularly," said Shaw.

"We want Michael to stay a long time but we appreciate the better he does the more interest there will be in him."
