Poll: What do you make of the new Northern Ireland kit unveiled ahead of the European Championships finals

Published 09/11/2015

The IFA has unveiled the new Northern Ireland kit for the team's France adventure at next year's European Championships.

New to the Aiddas home shirt is the re-introduction of navy detailing to the chest and sleeve.

The IFA said the new kit paid homage to the designs of the 1980s when the team last reached a major championships finals, the 1986 Mexico World cup.

The new strip has already sparked a fierce online reaction and one fan has even started a petition calling for a "proper kit".

Priced at £55, the adult shirt is available to pre-order now and is expected to be available in December.

The full adult kit, including shirt, shorts and socks is £97.

The kit will be worn for the first time at Windsor Park for the Latvia friendly on Friday night.

Northern Ireland qualified for the European Championships finals next year after topping their qualification group with 21 points.
