'Professional' Kyle stakes claim for Norwich chance

Kyle Lafferty is doing all he can to be given a chance to shine at Norwich City.

The Fermanagh man's outstanding displays for Northern Ireland in the successful Euro 2016 qualifying campaign may have cut no ice with Canaries boss Alex Neil, but perhaps the attitude of Lafferty (pictured) and a stunning strike for the club's under-21 side might do the trick.

The 28-year-old started against Manchester United under-21s on Monday as an overage player and hit a spectacular goal in a 2-0 win before coming off with a tight groin as a precautionary measure

Norwich under-21 coach Dmitri Halajko said: "I thought he was very professional in his approach and showed quality."

Whether it is enough to earn him a rare run out for Neil's first team remains to be seen.

We, and Kyle, live in hope.
