Barcelona ended a three-match winless run in La Liga with a 8-0 thumping of Deportivo at the Estadio Riazor in La Coruña.

Luis Suarez scored a brace in each half, with goals in the 11th, 24th, 53rd and 64th minutes, while Ivan Rakitic, Lionel Messi, Marc Bartra and Neymar added goals in the 47th, 73rd, 79th and 81st minutes, respectively.

It was a much-needed win for the reigning league champions, who had not won a league affair since March 12 and had suffered four defeats in their previous five matches in all competitions.

With the victory Barcelona are at 79 points and retain their lead at the top the table despite taking just one point from the last 12 possible in the league.

But there was no hint of uncertainty in their play and they went for their hosts, pinning them back with full-backs Dani Alves and Jordi Alba bombing on.
