Milan play Beckham

Published 12/01/2009

David Beckham played almost the entire game on his Serie A debut with AC Milan against Roma last night and impressed in a clash that ended in a draw at the Stadio Olimpico.

The England midfielder, signed on a three-month loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy, crossed the ball effectively on numerous occasions before being substituted two minutes from time. Mirko Vucinic put Roma ahead in the 22nd minute, however Milan turned things around early in the second half as Alexandre Pato struck twice in the space of eight minutes.

But Vucinic levelled in the 73rd minute to deny Milan their first win on the road since October 26.
